About the project

More about the project

The co-operative’s output from existing projects

The Brighton Energy Co-op installs roof-mounted solar panels. They look for landlords of large buildings, such as warehouses, where they can install arrays of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on to the roofs. These panels convert the energy of the sun into electricity which is then plugged into the National Grid. Obviously the sun is an important factor, so being in the most Southern part of England helps this particular co-operative.

The money being raised is to be used to install panels at Shoreham Port.
